Research interests

My field of research is theoretical cosmology. In particular I study the phenomenology of inflationary models and how these can be linked to particle physics. The inflationary paradigm is a well established theory, backed up by cosmological observations. It is, however, also known that the energy carried by the inflationary degrees of freedom, which dominate the very early universe, has to be transferred to the Standard Model of particle physics. This happens via a process called reheating. My current research focuses on the non-linear dynamics during this process.
